Puppy Questions?
Find answers to our most frequent questions about upcoming litters and our breeding program to help you stay informed. Please feel free to email us at dogwoodspringsmastiffs@gmail.com if you have questions that aren’t answered here.
How can I reserve a puppy from an upcoming litter?
The first step is to complete our puppy application form to introduce yourself so we can learn more about you. We recommend contacting us early to discuss availability and place a deposit to reserve your puppy.
Are your puppies socialized before adoption?
Puppies are raised with and handled daily by our family, and are well socialized with people and animals. In addition to our Mastiffs, we currently have a rabbit, chickens, ducks and sometimes pigs on our farm. These provide a great variety of different experiences for the puppies. We will begin potty training by four weeks, which should help you as you continue the process.
Are the puppies registered?
Yes, our litters are registered with AKC. Both full and limited (pet only) registration are available to potential owners, but we reserve the right to make the final decision if we believe a puppy should not be allowed full registration.
What is the price and what forms of payment do you accept?
Prices vary, but please contact us to discuss. We require a $500 deposit to reserve your puppy. We accept cash, PayPal (Friends & Family) and Venmo for deposit. The remaining balance to be paid in cash at pickup. We do NOT accept checks. We require full payment by pickup day. Your deposit is non-refundable but will deducted from the total purchase price.
Do you provide support after I bring my puppy home?
Absolutely, we offer ongoing guidance to ensure a smooth transition and happy life for your new companion. Part of the adoption process is completing a contract. We require a puppy contract with each adoption. The contract outlines expectations for both parties and includes our one-year-from-purchase-date genetic health guarantee. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you have.
What happens if my puppy gets sick?
We ask that new owners take their puppy to their vet within 5 business days after picking it up. If the vet says there is something wrong with the puppy, we will take it back and give 100% refund, but only if this is done and we are notified within 5 business days of picking up the puppy.
